How to blog while working full time

It’s not uncommon to become a blogger while working full time. We all know that some jobs are too demanding such that getting time to blog is not a mean feat. But when you’re determined to earn extra cash through a side hustle, you will go miles to make it happen.

Before I take you through, here is my story: In 2011 I was an active Facebook user. Each time I posted something on my wall,I received over 100 comments. During those days, Facebook was really nice. Then one day,a friend suggested that I start a blog.I figured out what to do but honestly I didn’t have any knowledge to do with starting a blog,I even didn’t know what blogging was about.

Few months later, my passion for being active online grew as the number followers on Facebook surged. But what made me quite uncomfortable was the fact that I took time to generate content but never earned anything. I said enough is enough and sourced information online regarding blogging.

Few months later, I started a WordPress hosted site.By the time I was starting,I was having a full time job.I could rush home immediately after work, generate two articles and post them on my blog. Over time,I found the balance between my blogging activities and the full time job. What surprises me is that ever since,I have been joggling between employment and blogging. Here are my secrets.

The first thing is to know how to start a blog. To launch one,you need the following:

Domain name(Register here)

Website(contact use for website design services +254722927138)

Cheap hosting services (Host here)

How to earn money (Apply for AdSense or MGID.Here is MGID application link)

After you have launched your website, the hardest part is how to balance between work and blogging. The secret to a successful blogging career is to give it time after you are through with your employer’s work.Normally,it’s hard to concentrate after work, but as a blogger whose passionate about succeeding in blogging, you have to sacrifice some hours. For my case, I write most of my content from 6pm to 10 pm and sometimes 4.30am to 6am every day. This leaves me with enough time to do my employer’s work.

Another technique to use is to identify a ghost-blogger. This individual will be responsible for posting on your blog for pay.In most cases, ghost-bloggers sharge $100-$500 per month. To pay them such an amount needs sacrifice since it takes time to start earning from your blog.

The third and cost-effective way of succeeding in blogging while working full time is to advertise for internship positions. Interns can work as good as experienced bloggers. The nice thing about interns is that they are cheap and always available for work.

I will advise you this: while your blog is growing, never be in a hurry to quit your full time job until you save some good amount of money and also be able to generate over $1000 per month. The best time to quit is when your blog can pay your bills and also help you save some cash.
