Several Kenyans have have complained that a website with the name Getjobskenya is scamming them. It’s not only job seekers but also companies.
Last week, the website, which is a scam, advertised for vacancies at World Vision. Thousands of Kenyans applied for the jobs but it was later confirmed that the NGO had not advertised for the same vacancies. World Vision sponsored a Facebook post to warn Kenyans against applying for employment through this job site.
To prove that Getjobskenya is a scam, let me ask you one question-I am assuming you have sought employment before. Ever since you started searching for a job, have you ever been asked to part with money to be called for interview?
This is what getjobskenya does: Once you open the website, you get several jobs listed, most of them targeting desperate job seekers. You may get interested with a job vacancy and before you apply, below are details you’ll get:

Step 2: All first time applicants must pay a registration fee of Ksh. 350 only which is refundable if you don’t qualify to get a job.

Step 3: Attend an Interview
Step 4: Receive an offer
Step 5: Get trained and start working

You will receive a confirmation code after paying the registration fee which you will use to complete your application.
