Standard Media Group Managing Editor Joe Ageyo has resigned.The soft spoken journalist announced his resignation on Twitter.He said:
“I am humbled to have worked with the greatest news team in town,” he stated, “together we conquered mountains. We launched the country’s only 24-hour news channel and got it to the top tier in 18 months. May God watch over you all at KTN News as I take on the next assignment. Love you all.”
Joe has worked at SMG for nearly 12 years,having risen through ranks to become one of the highest paid employees at the media house.
Though it’s not clear where Joe is heading, it’s rumoured he will partner with Linus Kaikai and Larry Madowo to launch a new television station.
