Best companies to work for in Kenya include those with better working conditions, reasonable pay and employee satisfaction. In 2018,we have a list of top 100 best companies to work for in Kenya.
We managed to go through a list provided by Breightermonday and we agree to some extent with the list but there are companies included in the list that should not be there. For instance, how does Equity Bank come in.For those who have worked with Equity Bank, they can attest that the pay is meagre and workload too much. Another company that should not appear in the list is Brookside. We have experience with Brookside and we can reveal that graduates earn as little as Ksh15,000.In fact, the average salary of a graduate in Brookside is Ksh35,000.
Another company that should not be in the list is Bonfire Adventures. The company is good for PR but its employees are silently suffering. You will be shocked to hear this: in Bonfire adventure, if you are spotted receiving or making a personal call during working hours, you are fined Ksh2,000.
United Nations is definitely the best institution to work for in Kenya. With a degree, you will earn a starting salary of Ksh180,000 which is tax free.If you’re lucky to be assigned field work, per diem will be Ksh30,000 per day.
Brightermonday failed to include institutions like Nairobi Securities Exchange,National Securities Intelligent Service and Office of the President. For your information,NIS is one of the highest paying government institutions in Kenya. With an ordinary degree, you will earn upwards of Ksh 150,000.At NSE,the starting salary of a fresh graduate is Ksh180,000.Also in the list is Capital Markets Authoirity, which pays in excess of Ksh180,000 to graduate trainees.
