A rare event occurred at Lake Victoria over the weekend. People came from all walks of life to witness how the crowds and the lake met.
It was about to rain and the clouds were moving as usual.All of a sudden,the crowd formed a line,which linked it to the lake. The line is what we call as water spout.
A waterspout is an intense columnar vortex (usually appearing as a funnel-shaped cloud) that occurs over a body of water. Some are connected to a cumulus congestus cloud, some to a cumuliform cloud and some to a cumulonimbus cloud. In the common form, it is a non-supercell tornado over water. Woe unto you if the formation finds you with your struggling boat in the lake.
