Deloitte,KPMG and PWC are the best audit & Accounting companies to work for in Kenya. About a month ago we received an email seeking to know which among the three is the best paying audit company. From our survey, here are our findings.
PWC
PWC recruits fresh graduates as trainees and train them before they are assigned duties. During training, they are paid Ksh80,000 as the monthly salary. Upon completion of a 2-year training, they are absorbed into the system and their pay rises to Ksh120,000.
There are three main classes of employees at PWC: Trainees, who are popularly known as Management Trainee, Experienced professionals and consultants. The salary range of graduate trainees is Ksh 80,000-Ksh130,000.Experienced professionals earn upwards of Ksh140,000 while consultants, including partners earn in excess of Ksh450,000.A partner at PWC pockets a monthly pay of Ksh 1.5 million.
Of all the three audit firms,PWC is the best paying.
Deloitte
Deloitte ranks as the second best paying audit firm in Kenya. Graduate trainees earn a monthly pay of Ksh 75,000 to Ksh120,000 while experienced professionals earn upwards of Ksh 130,000.The highest paid employees in the firm are partners, who pocket in excess of Ksh900,000

KPMG
KPMG is ranked as the best audit firm for fresh graduates because it offers the best training.The starting salary of a fresh graduate at KPMG is Ksh75,000.The pay increases over time,particularly after the completion of training. Experienced professionals pocket between Ksh 150,000 to Ksh250,000 whereas Senior Managers earn a median pay of Ksh 400,000 per month.
The highest paid individuals at KPMG are Partners, who pocket in excess of Ksh 800,000 per month.
There are also other audit firms you can seek employment. Earnest & Young is among the BIG FOUR and it pays as good as the three aforementioned firms. We also have RMS Ashvir and PKF.
