Deputy President William Ruto made a comment that has angered the Meru community.Though the comment was not to offend the community, several Meru residents claim it was said in bad taste and was meant to demean the tribe.
During his speech in Meru yesterday,Ruto said this:
โMeru ni watu wa kuaminika kiasi ya kwamba unawezakumtuma kama umekosana na mtu unamwambie hebu nikatie huyu mtu na atachukua panga na amkate halafu akuulize ย baadaye amekosa niniโ
