Yesterday night there was drama in remand when one NYS suspect said she would die if not given a chance to take ARVs.The suspect said she has skipped three days without taking medicine and her health is deteriorating.
“I want to go and take drugs, I am dying”,the suspect pleaded.
Another suspect asked to be given water and biscuits, arguing that she can’t follow proceedings with an hungry stomach.However,the court told her even other suspect had not taken any meal…she is not special.
The suspects were denied bail despite lawyer Cliff Ombeta pleading with the court to release them on bond.
