It’s the end of Gossip as Facebook finally deletes Kilimani Mums and Dads page. The page is currently not in existence following Facebook’s action.
The page was deleted yesterday evening after they had alerted the admins that the action would be taken. This morning members tried to search for it in vain.
By the time it was deleted the page had 943,000 members.
One member noted:” So now the government has brought down the famous group Kilimani mums and Dads uncensored (original), so that it can be under their surveilance in the name of regulating it. Kwani imekuwa threat to the government ? Sasa watu wanapeleka udaku wapi ? Career ya “wamama” imeishia hapo sasa ? Saa hii najua ako karibu kulipuka akili juu ya mushene.😂
Haha, Kama itarudi, usishangae kujipata nje”
Facebook started taking action on the page a week ago after President Kenyatta signed into law cybercrime bill. The bill regulates the use of social media such that one can’t have the freedom to write and share contents that contravenes the clauses in the law.
It’s highly unlikely that the page will be reinstated.
