There are all signs that Deputy President William Ruto will pull out of the government before 2022.This is after his hostility with the boss grew to worrying level.
The president and his deputy have been enjoying mutual relationship but after Raila was brought on board, the DP developed cold feet. It’s now emerging that the hostility between the number one and number two employees in Kenya are not in good terms.
The major reason Ruto is not happy about his relationship with the president is the disrespectful way the president refers to him.In a recent event in Mombasa, Uhuru referred to Ruto as ‘huyu “ instead of his usual term “ndugu yangu”.Few weeks ago,he also referred to him as kijana wa kutangatanga.Ruto’s supporters are not happy and have told him to pull out of the government before the current government’s term ends.
At the moment, Ruto is doing everything to have top politicians in his side. He will then resign as the DP and leave Uhuru and Raila to run the government. The duo will then introduce a man they would like to support in 2022, who is likely to be Gideon Moi.
What we are sure of is that Uhuru is between a rock and a hard place. He is the president because of Moi;he must support his son.Ruto also expects Uhuru to support his quest for president but Uhuru won’t leave his ‘real brother’ Gideon Moi.
Ruto is aware of Uhuru’s intentions and it’s why he had decided not to bank on the president’s support.
