Biwott was the most mysterious man such that three of his many wives were not included in his will. The total man hated them so much that they didn’t get a share of his wealth.
Former Minister Margaret Kamar is among his wives who were not considered for inheritance. Others include Callister Mathews and Elizabeth Kattar.According to his will, Johanna Catherina Kiprono Biwott is the only one to benefit from the vast wealth he left behind. He also warned his wives against using his name ,arguing that he recognizes Johanna.
Biwott further said,” Sh10 million to be managed by trustees, to maintain my grave and that of my father, Kiprono Cheserem, at Toot Village in Elgeyo Marakwet”
What shocked Kenyans is that despite the former Minster denying his wives inheritance, he gave Ksh 50 million to Mbegu Trust, a charitable organisation established to develop education in East Africa.
Until his death,Biwott had accumulated over Ksh 70 billion;he owned over 30 established companies.
