Yesterday we managed to see the payslip of Rashid Abdallah and we couldn’t believe our eyes.For close to a decade he’s been anchoring news at NTV, he’s been earning less than his wife. His salary was Ksh 125,000 less but that’s history now.
The former QTV News Anchor pocketed Ksh 280,000 at NTV;he was among the lowest paid anchors in the stations. After his switch to Citizen, his salary doubled –it now stands at Ksh550,000.
Lulu Hassan on the other hand earned slightly over Ksh 300,000 and was even earning over Ksh100,000 in allowances. Her salary was certainly higher than that of her husband. Now the two are working together and Lulu is slightly junior than her husband. The difference in their net pay is Ksh 150,000.
It’s interesting that for the first time in history, a couple is reading news and hosting a program about family issues. How will it end?!!God knows!
