NGO Economist Job in Kenya, Salary over Ksh300,000

The global objective of this assignment is to provide decision makers in the Government of the Republic of Kenya and the European Union with sufficient information to make an informed judgment about the overall impact of the Northern Corridor Rehabilitation Programme; in terms of the intended contribution to a sustainable road network, facilitating economic growth and improving living standards in Kenya and in neighbouring landlocked countries.

Specific Objectives

·     An overall independent assessment of the past performance of the intervention (Northern Corridor Rehabilitation Programme phase III), paying particular attention to the results of the project against its objectives;

·     An overall independent assessment of the efficiency, effectiveness, impact, sustainability and relevance of the Northern Corridor Rehabilitation Programme phase III with respect to the originally stated project objectives, purpose and results as well as impact of the project promoting cross objectives such as climate change and gender equality.

Key lessons learnt and recommendations in order to improve current and future actions.

Expert 3: Socio Economist (Category I)
Qualifications and skills: A qualified Socio Economist with at least a Masters Degree or in its absence, equivalent professional experience of at least 5 years above the general rofessional experience specified below (minimum 17 years).

General professional experience:
At least 12 years post-qualification experience in Socio economic impact assessment of Infrastructure projects.

Specific professional experience:
Familiarity with evaluation of environmental and social impacts of road projects is essential.

The working language shall be English, and all experts will be required to be fluent in written and spoken English
