UPPER PRIMARY TEACHER JOB AT DANJOSE EDUCATION CENTRE Danjose Education Centre is located in Ruiru town. The school provides a nurturing and stimulating environment where children learn and grow through creative play. We are seeking for candidates who is passionate about children to join our team in the following position: Upper Primary Teacher We are seeking an experienced, competent and dynamic teacher who is committed to teach our Upper primary school. Key Responsibilities for the Upper Primary Teacher Job โข Continue to maintain an environment that promotes and secures good teaching, effective learning, high standards of achievement and good behavior โข Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and provides individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student โข Good command of English, Mathematics, social studies, Kiswahili and creativity โข Determine, organize, implement and monitor the syllabus coverage within the year โข Maintain an effective relationship with parents to support and improve pupilโs achievement and personal development โข Promote extracurricular activities in accordance with the school calendar โข Ensure that parents and pupils are well informed about the curriculum, attainment and progress and about the contribution they can make in supporting their childโs learning and achieving the schoolโs target for improvement. โข Selects and requisitions books and instructional aids; maintains required inventory records. โข Supervises students in out-of-classroom activities during the school day โข Providing guidance and advice to students on educational and social matters and on their further education and future careers; providing information on sources of more expert advice; โข Assist in bus loading and unloading. โข Assimilate arriving children to the school environment by greeting them, helping them remove outerwear, and selecting activities of interest to them. โข Establish and enforce rules for behaviour, and policies and procedures to maintain order among students. Upper Primary Teacher Job Qualifications โข Diploma in Early Childhood Development, Diploma in Education or P1 โข Knowledge and experience in the new competency bases curriculum โข A minimum of 2 yearsโ experience teaching in upper Primary teaching Mathematics, Kiswahili and Social Studies โข Proven ability to prepare teaching aids and lesson plans with good hand writing skills โข Ability to establish and enforce rules for behavior and class control โข Good command of English both written and spoken โข Good organization and communication skill โข Demonstrated ability to work as a team player โข Must demonstrated passion for teaching and children โข Proven track record in co-curricular activities โข Registered with Teachers Service Commission (TSC) How to Apply If you meet the above requirements, kindly send your resume to [email protected] for consideration.
