Jubilee interim Vice Chairman David Murathe has resigned.
Murathe, who is Uhuru’s confidant, resigned this afternoon after intense pressure from Ruto’s side. He made the announcement public a day after he vowed to move to Supreme Court to stop Ruto from ascending to presidency.
“I now find that it is no longer tenable to stay on as the party vice-chairman, given that I will have to sit in the same National Executive Council with a man I am taking to court to block from running for president,”said Murathe as he was tendering his resignation.
Murathe has been the Vice-Chair of Jubilee Party since its inception in 2013.He oversaw the 2013 and 2017 elections and is the one who confessed on TV that Uhuru will be ruthless and stern during his second term.
