Kianda School does not admit students from single parent led families unless under special circumstances which is death of parent(s) whereby supporting documents i.e death certificates have to be produced.
One of their arguments is that children raised by single parents lack discipline and that they are more problematic.
Opinions are divided about this policy. Some are arguing that the school is private and the management is allowed to put in place policies that they wish while others are arguing that it amounts to discrimination of students from single parent led family.
If this is true, then this is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard coming from a learning institution.
