What will you do if you are given Ksh 60 billion to become a citizen of another country? Well, this is the money Michael Olunga was offered to become Japanese Citizen after he impressed his team by scoring 8 goals in a single match.

Unverified reports on social media indicate that the Kenyan striker, who plays for Kashiwa Reysol ,was given an offer of 600 million Euros to denounce his Kenyan citizenship and become a permanent citizen of Japan. The report further stated that if he agrees to the offer, his monthly income of Ksh10 million will be more than doubled.

Olunga, who helped his team to get a promotion to Japan League 1, is yet to respond to the offer. It’s understood that he might accept since Kenya allows one to have dual citizenship.
