Maseno University Main Campus has been closed with immediate effect. Students have been advised to vacate the institution today 1 December 2019 by 9.30 p.m
The university students have been rioting throughout the day, forcing the university senate to have an impromptu meeting which resolved that the institution must be closed with immediate effect.
The University statement reads in parts, โSenate sat on 1st December at 7 p.m and resolved to close the university with immediate effect and until further noticeโ
The decision means that the university will have to be closed until next year 2020.
