The first Corona Virus case has been confirmed in Kenya, latest news from the government reveals. The case was confirmed today and it involves a lady who travelled from USA this week with the virus.
Health CS Mutahi Kagwe confirmed that the lady is admitted at Kenyatta National Hospital but in stable condition.
“The case was confirmed yesterday (Thursday). She was confirmed positive by the National Influenza Lab,” he said.
However, the CS urged Kenyans not to panic because no any other case has been confirmed.
Last month the Kenyan government forced China to cancel all flights to Kenya, which is a positive step, but since the virus has spread across the world, it’s now almost impossible to control its spread.
If more cases are confirmed, Nairobi and Mombasa will be the most affected. In case there are rampant cases in the capital city, almost everything will be grounded.
