Deputy President William Rutoโs lead blogger Dennis Itumbi has been sacked. Itumbi, who held the position of Director, communication was sacked today after PSCU abolished the positions they have been holding.
A statement from PSC read:
The Public Service Commission has abolished some positions in the Presidential Strategic Communications Unit (PSCU) and terminated contracts of the holders of the positions;
- Senior director, communication(Events and branding)
2. Senior director, communications (Digital, innovation, diaspora communication)
3 senior director, communications (speech writing)
4. Director, communication(Events and branding)
5. Principle information officer (Head of digital strategies)
Here is the full list of individuals sacked alongside Itumbi:
- Dennis Itumbi
- James Kinyua
- Erick Ngen’o
- David Nzioka
- John Ndolo
Itumbi is also battling a court case where he impregnated his girlfriend and dumped her with a baby. The girlfriend sued him for child support and the blogger was ordered to pay Ksh 50,000 per month.
The bloggerโs trouble began when he started working with Deputy President William Ruto, he was chased out of State House, he was on a Ksh500,000 monthly salary.
