There are criminals in Kenya who use other people’s IDs to register Safaricom numbers fraudulently. It’s important to check whether your ID has been used to register another number, failure to do so, you may find yourself in trouble if it’s used to commit a crime.
Follow these steps below to see how many numbers are registered using your ID:
All one has to do is:
Dial *106#.
Select 1: Check my numbers.
If there are any numbers that you don’t recognise:
Go back to the home menu.
Select 2: Report unknown number
Select the number that you do not know.
After it’s confirmed as a reported number select 4: Cancel a reported number, then select it and confirm.
You can as well report the number to Safaricom for action.
