Kirinyaga Governor race is hot, Wangui Ngirici is projected to win. Latest result show that Ngirici has garnered 96,527 against Anne Waiguru who has so far garnered 93,820.So far a total of 595/697 polling stations have submitted their results.
Though the race is so tight, Ngirici may clinch the seat considering most of the forms not submitted are from her strongholds.
By tomorrow morning,we will know the winner of this race,one of the toughest races in 2022.
Ann Waiguru has already protested the result.Here is what she posted on her Facebook page:
“Rigging in broad day light – Two ballot boxes with governors’ ballots enter Kianyaga through the back door in broad daylight! They MUST be removed and counting must stop! Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC)”
