DP William Ruto is projected to win presidential elections in Kenya. Sources from the IEBC claim that the DP has garnered 50.09 % of the total votes cast, which is a required threshold for one to be declared an absolute winner. The source further reveals that Raila has been informed that he lost the election.

DP William Ruto has already received his mother, brothers and other family members in Nairobi to witness how he’ll receive the certificate.

Raila Odinga on the other hand is resting in his Karen home waiting to concede. He is accompanied by his wife Ida and other family members.

It was Ruto’s first attempt on presidency, a painful journey. He started preparing to take over in 2013 by befriending Mount Kenya and Western leaders. During Election Day, he ensured that he had agents in all polling stations.

Raila is expected to announce his retirement from politics and handover the mantle to Kalonzo Musyoka.
