Paul Makenzie is the man who is trending at the moment. He owns a church in Malindi where he forces his congregation to fast until death then inherits everything left by the deceased. The pastor sold his TV station and cars to Pastor Ezekiel who also owns a church in Mombasa. The two have known each other for more than 10 years.
After selling his property,Paul Mackenzie moved to Shakahola where he purchased 800 acres for farming. It’s here that he buried those who fasted to death.
The sermons of Pastor Ezekiel and Pastor Mackenzie are almost similar, they closely followed the footsteps of Prophet Owuor who is rich while his followers are poor and miserable.One of the incidences which happened in his church shocked Kenyans. An Air Hostess quit her 11 year old career, sold her land for Ksh 7 million to join Pastor Paul’s church. She wanted to fast until she dies in order to meet Jesus Christ.
While Pastor Mackenzie preaches about fasting, Pastor Ezekiel preaches about women, he targets women who are desperate. He particularly offer himself to protect women against mpango wa kando and also to help them get married. Women have flocked his church, ballooning his congregation to over 50,000 people. He sells holy water to them for Ksh 2,000 per bottle.
Pastor Ezekiel works closely with Dorcas Gachagua, they know each other. Even when he came to Kasarani, Dorcas attended his sermon.
What’s more shocking is that the bodies which were discovered in Mackenzie’s graves did not have liver and kidney, sending signals that he might be involved in vital human organs business.
President Ruto has condemned Mackenzie’s actions and called upon police and court to arrest and prosecute him.He will fact life imprisonment if found guilty.
