Controversial pastor Ezekiel Odongo has been released on Ksh 3 million bond or Ksh 1.5 million cash bail. The pastor is already out of prison heading towards his church in Kilifi.Ezekiel was arrested last week over several deaths in his premises. It was believed that the deaths occurred under his watch and he didnโt report the matter to the police.
Ezekiel was arrested a couple of days after Pastor Paul Mackenzie was arrested. It was reported that people who died in Ezekielโs church were transported to Mackenzieโs farm for burial.
Today,the court established that there is no single witness against Ezekiel,hence his release.However,Pastor Mackenzie is still in the cells since evidence against him is overwhelming.
Ezekielโs church is expected to receive millions of new members because of the popularity he has gained during his arrest.But he will be monitored closely by the government to confirm whether what he is accused of is true.
