Maverick lives in a bedsitter in Kawangware paying Ksh 6,500 per month. This is where she used to invite men for money.
The Luo lady started working at Standard Media group where she was paid Ksh 30,000 per month.She later quit the job and started her own blog.After writing for a few months,she got tired and joined Tuko News briefly. Otieno had her secondary education at Nyong’ong’a Secondary School before proceeding to the Bakke Graduate University, where she obtained a degree in Communication and Media Studies. She also obtained a Diploma in Journalism from the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication.
