Ngata Bridge is arguably the most dangerous spot in Kenya. Last year more than 15 people died when a trailer collided with a matatu, today 8 people have lost their lives.
The accident happened when a trailer which was in a wrong lane collided head on with an oncoming matatu.8 people in the said matatu died. The driver of the trailer ran away immediately he committed the crime.
Even as 8 died on the spot,7 other people were rushed to hospital in critical condition. The driver of the matatu also perished.
Ngata Bridge Road was to be expanded after Roads CS Kipchumba Murkomen visited the area last year following a deadly accident, but the exercise has taken too long.
