Kaveve Kazoze Hit makers are languishing in poverty. The group released only one song which became a hit.Their hit song ‘Rieng Genje’ known by its popular lyrics ‘Cash crop ya Nyandarua ni Mawaru’, ‘Kaveve kazoze’, ‘unibebe hadi mbere ya kerende’ was a national anthem in Kenya but few months later,they are back on the streets appealing for help.
The group claims that they didn’t make money from the song which had over 4 million views on YouTube.They were even hosted by Mike Sonko who organized for a trip to Mombasa.They have revealed for the first time that Sonko has never talked to them ever since.
The youths have revealed that Kenyans think they have money yet they are broke.Nobody understands that they didn’t make any cash from the song.Even in shows they are paid peanuts,Ksh 3,000 to Ksh 20,000 per show.
Kaveve Kazoze group is now appealing for help from Kenyans to sustain their lifestyle.
