Eliud Kipchoge is one of the top athletes who didn’t attend Kelvin Kiptum’s funeral. All eyes were on him to see how he would behave in the funeral. But he didn’t attend.
Reliable sources inform us that the athlete was at Carrington Manchester training ground for training in preparation for the Marathon in April. He was also preparing to talk to Manchester United players on how to train and remain resilient.
Eliud flew to Manchester early this month, he has been in UK for training.
Kenyans were expecting him to talk at the funeral.They also wanted him to explain about his relationship with the late Kiptum.
They had earlier accused him of being too fast in sending condolence to the family but his hands refused to congratulate him when the late won and became the world athletics record holder.
Kiptum’s family members have also confirmed that Kipchoge sent his apology to the family.He also sent his funeral contributions.
