Citizen TV News Anchor Victoria Rubadiri has left Citizen TV to join CNN as the African correspondent. Rubadiri, who has worked for Citizen for more than 4 years will officially join CNN in May 2024.Before joining Citizen TV,she was working at NTV as a News Anchor. Her current salary was Ksh 800,000.
Victoria is set to become one of the highest paid journalists in Kenya. The new position at CNN pays Ksh 2-3 million per month. She earns slightly below Larry Madowo who takes home Ksh 3 million per month.
The mother of one had taken a break to do internship at BBC before returning to Citizen. The internship was to give her exposure. It’s the experience she gained at BBC that earned her the job at CNN.
Victoria’s position at Citizen TV will be taken by Yvonne Okwara .She will team up with Jeff Koinange.
