Nithi Bridge is notorious for killing Kenyans every month.The bridge is located in Meru and is the most dangerous bridge in Kenya.This week,11 people perished at the bridge through a road accident which involved a matatu and miraa vehicle.
In 2022 this section claimed the lives of 39 people and proposals on redesigning the Nithi Bridge. Since 1985 this place has lost thousands.
Today, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua said that the government will redesign the bridge.
One of the reasons the bridge is notorious is because miraa vehicles over-speed and overtake carelessly. Those are the vehicles that cause accidents.
