Ruto has married Raila Odinga’s ODM party. Raila is expected to be Ruto’s deputy in 2027. Following the merger between ODM and UDA,Ruto will get these votes.

Ruto got over 7.2 million votes in 2022. His votes will remain the same or reduce to 7 million. Raila has lost Kisii ,Kamba and Luhya votes totalling to 3.5 million. Ruto has lost 5.5 million votes. All these votes will go to opposition presidential candidates.
In 2027 Ruto may find it difficult to retain his seat because of the Gema,Kamba,Luhya and Kisii votes.
