President Ruto has laid an elaborate strategy to take away Gen Z from the opposition. The president broke ranks with Gen Z in 2024 when he didn’t treat them well. They vowed to make him a one term president. However, the president sat down and planned on how to win their support. First, he ensured Kasmuel liked up with Raila. He then approached Morara Kebaso, who accepted the offer. Later, he realised that Peter Salasya is popular, he promised to support his countrywide campaigns where he will appeal to Gen Z to vote for him in 2027.
The three, Kasmuel, Morara and Salasya will join hands, alongside Maraga. They will then approach Gen Z with one party. If Gen Z agrees to support this force, then Ruto would have succeeded in alienating the youth with Gachagua and his team. This will deny the opposition a chance to win by a landslide. In case there is a re-run, Maraga and his team will link up with Ruto and they will urge their supporters to support Ruto and get promised seats.
There is also something Ruto wants to avoid. If the gap between him and opposition in terms of votes won’t be large,it will be easy for him to manipulate the votes. This is what he desperately wants to happen.
The three people are working for Ruto, ensuring that he is not defeated by the opposition. They will try all means to prevent Gen Z from joining opposition and try to paint opposition badly.
