It has not been established as to why and how the ministry of education retained the schools categorization in only some senior schools promoting just a few as other big guns are left out.

In terms of performance, Cardinal Otunga Girls and Our lady of Mercy Chebukaka Girls have of recent been incomparable .

It then begs questions as to why the two could be left out as Moi Girls Kamusinga made the cut.

The Ministry should equally make sure that proper funds is injected into the elevated schools to improve the infrastructure that matches national school status cadre.

  1. I think the ministry considered the “even distribution of national schools”factor that’s why Cardinal Otunga was left out since it is very close to St Mary’s Kibabii (just less than a quarter a kilometer walking distance). The same applies to St Mary’s Mumias girls being left out coz it’s very close to St Peters Mumias boys
