Allegedly the aim of the Israel/Iran conflict inadvertently is:
1)Completely neutralize the Nuclear Enrichment Program in Iran that Israel feels is a threat to their country.
2)Regime Change because of Iran sponsoring terrorist activities in other parts of the world.
3)For the Supreme leader to cave in and if that is not possible,they neutralize him too.
The issue of Nuclear Weapons is at the center and so on Geopolitics today lets delve deeper.
WHAT IS NUCLEAR ENRICHMENT
If you go back to your periodic table,Uranium was number 92 as a radioactive metal,it is key in making Nuclear Bombs.
Natural Uranium has two kinds of Isotopes
U238 accounting for more than 99%
U235 accounting for 1%
It’s the U235 you will need to make bombs.
From the metal,you can separate these two and only have Pure U235 then you keep adding more pure U235 and pulling it up from 1% to 45% to make a bomb and the process of doing this is called Uranium Enrichment.
How you do it is to feed the Uranium inside a cylinder called a centrifuge,a gas is fed on it and separates the molecules,the U238 which is heavier will form outside the cylinder and the U235 will remain,so you harvest it,then you do this repeatedly while collecting the pure U235s then feed them on a compressed weapon ready to explode.
So anytime you hear Iran has been conducting Uranium enrichment, this is what they mean.
WHO HAS NUCLEAR WEAPONS AND WHY?
There are are 9 confirmed countries in the world that own Nuclear Weapons.
United States,Russia,China,Israel,North Korea,France,UK,India,Pakistan
In the 60s there was an arms race after WW2 and by this time,five countries had already invested in Nuclear Enrichment Programs with America leading the Pack and Russia following in their footsteps,UK was third,France was fourth,China was fifth,Sixth was Israel,Seventh was India for protection against Pakistan and Eighth Pakistan for Protection against India,Then Finally North Korea.
When the world realized just how dangerous it was that countries were investing in Nuclear bombs,a treaty called the NPT was reached in 1968 where countries with Nuclear bombs would get rid of the ones they already had, and no one else would enrich uranium for Weaponry.
None of the Big five destroyed their bombs but even worse,the following countries still went ahead to build Nuclear bombs and faced no consequences: Israel,India,Pakistan and finally North Korea and even tested them and got no repercussions.
After this four,the Super 9 have generally made it their job to gate keep any other country that may want to enrich Uranium and that is why Iran is partly being attacked.
Iran was widely believed to have been very close despite a lot of hitches where their scientists are murdered or facilities bombed, and Saudi Arabia have promised that If Iran is allowed to build Nukes so will they,and everyone else will follow so Iran is the stop gap.
WHO IS THE REFEREE?
The bodies that govern Nuclear Programs are the NPT and IAEA who regularly inspect Nuclear activities in the world and raise a red alert whenever any country seems to be enriching their Nuclear Programs beyond just creating energy.
Iran signed the treaty with NPT and is a member of the IAEA both bodies have inspected their Nuclear Programs and have neither confirmed or denied that Iran is building Nuclear Bombs,I recall in June the report was that Iran was not giving sufficient information on their Nuclear activities.
Iran had been in talks with the US but despite that,Israel Struck.
Iran joined talks with the EU a week ago and despite that,the US struck.
US JOINS WAR.
So,On Saturday Night,the US joined Israel in attacking Iran in what they called ‘Operation Midnight Hammer’,and deployed the B2 Spirit stealth bomber to target Nuclear Enrichment facilities in Iran built 40 to 70 Meters below the grounds.
Its not the first time the US has used the B2 Spirit bombers as a lot of the US PR machines want to put it,They were used in the Desert storm war in Afghanistan,in 1994 Kosovo war,In Libya,in 2024 Yemen.
B2s are used to penetrate sophisticated defense terrains and to strike deeply buried targets,they carry GBU 57s which are 30,000 pound bombs that can destroy hardened underground facilities,They are invinsible to radar files,hit with deadly precision and can fly 70 hours non stop.
They are the most expensive weapon artillery at 2 Billion dollars a piece.
Russia has TU 160,95 and and PAK DA
China has been building the H-20 (I am not sure if its ready yet.)
While Trump claimed Iran’s Nuclear Enrichment facilities were totally Obliterated,IAEA has reported no increase in radiation following the US strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities meaning they did not actually get to the target or the stocks were long moved from these facilities.
