A gas cylinder has exploded in Kisii. According to the house help for the couple, the husband of the house purchased petrol yesterday. He claimed it was for eliminating bedbugs.
Today, the house help was sent to the shop to buy something, leaving the couple behind. Few minutes later, when she arrived, she heard explosion. It’s alleged that the husband had locked the wife inside one of the rooms—it’s not clear whether it was intentional or not.
The husband managed to escape with serious injuries but the wife died. Sources say that the family has been having domestic problems.
