Oketch Salah is Raila’s adopted son. He was the men who accompanied Raila to India and ensured that he was okay. Initially, it was believed that he was Raila’s personal doctor but later it emerged that Raila and Salah were business partners.
He was born and raised in Migori. His siblings include Moha diege,Abdi,yusuf. Salah attended Ombo Primary School and later Kangeso Secondary.
Salah’s family was the owners of the first bakery in Migori town called Salah in 1970s,the owners of the first storey building in Migori town, owner of jamaa filling station, owners of Migori commercial store, First people to ever ride superbikes n sports cars in Migori. In short, Salah family is part and parcel of Migori town from 1960s. Oketch Salah’s father was extremely rich in Migori in the 90s. His father was known as Mohammed Jama Salah.
Oketch Salah claimed that he was present in India when Raila was dying but Winnie Odinga revealed that Oketch wasn’t present. Winnie also refuted claims that Oketch is Raila’s adopted son. She said Salah is a regular person who used to visit them when Raila was alive.
