Key Requirements & Eligibility of becoming a police officer in Kenya:
Documents: Original academic certificates, testimonials, and ID are required at the recruitment center.
Citizenship & Identification: Must be a Kenyan citizen with a valid National ID.
Age: 18 – 28 years.
Education: Minimum Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade of D+(Plus), with a D+ in either English or Kiswahili.
Physical Fitness: Must be in good health, with no physical defects (e.g., flat feet, knock knees, or poor vision).
Height: Minimum height of 5 feet 8 inches for men and 5 feet 3 inches for women.
Character: No criminal record or pending charges.
Pregnancy: Female candidates must not be pregnant during the recruitment and training period.
