A family in Wetaya Village, Khalaba Ward, Kanduyi Constituency, Bungoma County, is seeking justice after a 40-year-old woman was allegedly attacked and seriously injured by a man known to her.
Police are searching for the suspect, who fled the scene after committing the act.
The victim, Marystella Kong’ani, a public health officer at a Webuye County hospital in Bungoma, was reportedly assaulted on Wednesday night shortly after returning home.
Sandra Kong’ani, 19, the victim’s niece, recounted the ordeal, stating that her aunt arrived home around 9:00 p.m. She welcomed her in and served her supper.
The husband complained that the wife comes late. He accused her of having an affair with someone.
