Over 1 million Kenyans use PayPal for online transactions. The company has terminated accounts for more than half of Kenyans over suspected money laundering. The information has come when Kenyans started earning from Facebook.
PayPal stated that a number of Kenyans are using their platform to send money to others illegally. This has forced the company to terminate accounts for even innocent Kenyans.
There are reports that content creators who use PayPal as the payment method on Facebook have seen their accounts terminated and money held in those accounts. They have been told to wait for 180 days to access their money.
