Faulu Irrigation LTD, Nairobi based company, is applying state of the art irrigation projects which are changing the lives of Kenyans. Due to prolonged droughts, farmers have been impacted negatively, leading to poor harvests. But from the start of 2026, Faulu Irrigation LTD has brought a smile to thousands of farmers, who have embraced the company’s irrigation systems, greenhouses, agricultural nets, solar dryers and water storage solutions
The company’s products include drip irrigation systems, sprinkler irrigation, rain hose kits, solar-powered irrigation systems, filtration units and water pumps, all designed to improve water efficiency and increase crop yields. These are central to the company’s objectives, which aim to improving productivity of the farmers.
Faulu Irrigation LTD Manager said the company was founded to help farmers overcome the growing challenges posed by climate change through affordable and reliable irrigation technologies.
“Climate change has made rainfall increasingly unpredictable, but it should not determine whether a farmer succeeds or fails. Our mission is to equip farmers with practical irrigation solutions that enable them to produce throughout the year while conserving water,” said Mr xxx
He added that the company provides end-to-end services, from farm assessment and system design to installation, training and maintenance.
“We don’t simply sell irrigation equipment. We partner with farmers to ensure they choose the right system for their crops, maximise production and achieve sustainable returns on their investment,” he said.
The company also supplies wooden and metallic greenhouses, shade nets, bird nets, solar dryers and high-density polyethylene dam liners to help farmers improve production, reduce post-harvest losses and enhance water storage.
For Geoffrey Wanyama, a farmer from Webuye in Bungoma County, installing a drip irrigation system which transformed his farming enterprise.
“Before installing the irrigation system, I depended entirely on rainfall and often suffered huge losses during dry seasons. Today I harvest consistently throughout the year, my yields have increased significantly and my income has improved,” said Mr Wanyama.
James Musembi, who is based in Machakos County, confirmed that irrigation systems supplied by Faulu Irrigation LTD have enabled him farm confidently even with prolonged drought. His output has more than doubled.
“Water is no longer my biggest challenge. The irrigation system has allowed me to grow crops even during prolonged drought, ensuring I have produced for the market and a stable source of income for my family,” Mr Musembi said.
Agricultural experts continue to encourage farmers to adopt irrigation and other climate-smart technologies as Kenya seeks to strengthen food security in the face of changing weather patterns.
