Standard Media Group has formally apologized to Kisiis after calling them witches. The article appeared on their social media pages which alleged that Kisiis are known for witchcraft and hard faces. It was referring to the new miss universe Kenya 2026. The title was won by Jean Ojiro
The media house has said that action has been taken on the writer and promised not to repeat the same mistake. Their article stated:
“known for their prowess in witchcraft and hard faces,Kisii county surprisingly produces miss universe Kenya 2026”
From that title,it implies that the writer was shocked that a Kisii can win that coveted title. He had ranked them lowly, not worth winning anything.
