A Kenyan woman abroad has lamented how her mother conned her Ksh100m. The lady by the name Lydia went to USA in 2002. She has been working all that time and saving. She decided to buy land and build an apartment in Kenya so that she can build passive income. She sent her mother Ksh 10m to buy a plot. The mother purchased a plot in Nairobi and registered under her name. She faked another title deed and sent to her daughter.
The daughter kept sending money for building the apartment. In total, she spent Ksh100m. After the house was complete, she visited Kenya to open it. She got a shock of her lifetime. The mother claimed that the apartment was for her and her children. She told the daughter that since she has a good life abroad, she doesn’t deserve to own that apartment. She went to the ministry of lands to check on the ownership of the title only to discover that the mother registered under her name.
