Raila Odinga Named The Most Influential African In the World

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has been named the most influential African in the whole world.

A list of 100 African men and women was presented to the jury of African leaders based across the globe. The list comprised of 68 men and 32 women.

After analyzing what each in the list has contributed to Africa and globally, Raila emerged the winner, beating renowned African scholars and politicians.

Among those in the list were Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni,Kenya’s president Uhuru Kenyatta and Nigeria’s president Buhari.

Raila scored 98 marks, missed 2 marks to score the possible 100 due to his inability to resolve the 2007-2008 post election violence and his alleged involvement in the 1982 coup.

Among Raila’s strengths included the ability to unite Kenyans across tribes and fight for democracy.

Raila’s closest challenger, Paul Kagame scored 67 % .
