Kwale Senator Boy Juma Boy died today morning while undergoing treatment at the Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi.
The Senator has been suffering from high blood pressure, a condition normal for politicians. He was rushed to Aga Khan Hospital last week after collapsing in his Mombasa home.
At the hospital, the late Senator was placed in the ICU where only family members were allowed to see him. In the last two days, his body was not responding to drugs and was neither processing food. He gave up the ghost today after doctors at the hospital had told the family members that nothing could be done to save his life.
Boy Juma Boy is a veteran politician, who has interacted with Raila Odinga for decades. He is also very close to Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho.Until his death, he was Raila’s point man in North Coast.
Raila, who received the news while in campaign trail mourned his ally, and here are heavy words he described the Senator”

I have learnt with great sadness of the passing of my friend and brother Senator Boy Juma Boy of Kwale County earlier today.
Boy was not only a steadfast pillar in our party ODM at the Coast but a committed and reliable champion for the rights of the downtrodden. A visionary leader and gifted orator, Boy’s untimely passing will no doubt be felt across the nation.
I take this opportunity to offer my deepest condolences to his family, friends and to the people of Kwale County. May God comfort you at this most trying of times”
