Kenyans only know something or everything about Recce squad but they know little about Special Force(SF) unit, which is within the AP.
The Special Force(SF) unit is an extremely elite AP brigade. Unlike Recce which is specialized in hostage rescue, this brigade is only equaled to the 75th Ranger Battalion of the USA army. Its operations are highly secretive, very very secretive that even some of those close to power aren’t aware of.
This force has the best of training in direct action, forcible entry and counterterrorism. It’s their presence at Bomas that raised lots of attention from those who better understand our security architecture.
