Sources within the government say Miguna might be deported back if he doesn’t apply for a temporary passport.

The NRM General is still held at JKIA,three hours after landing in the country. Reliable sources say the General was requested to apply for a six-month temporary passport but he declined, forcing immigration officers to hold him at JKIA.

Confirmed reports indicate if Miguna agrees to take a temporary passport, then he has agreed to be a temporary citizen, which is why his lawyers have advised Miguna to decline to apply for a temporary passport. The lawyers argue that Miguna is a Kenyan by birth,so he has all the rights to be in the country without question.
