President Kenyatta has launched a new uniform to be used by Kenyan Police. The uniform was unveiled today and several police officers paraded while cladding in it.
Photos of the uniform were circulated on social media but few minutes later, the responses from regular citizens weren’t impressive: they aren’t excited about the uniform.
The president announced new changes that include new command structure, rebranding and housing allowances. He also said that it will now not be mandatory for junior police and prison officers to live in free institutional houses. Instead they will be given allowance to live within the communities and neighbourhoods they serve.
