Kenyans are shocked after a honest Kenyan man returned Ksh 100,000 which was deposited to his bank account by mistake.
Mr Stephen Waiganjo received the amount on January 27, 2022 from NCBA Bank Nairobi Branch at about 10am and has been waiting for someone to claim the money to no avail.
On Thursday morning, the 40 year old decided to avail himself to NCBA Bank Nakuru Branch where the transaction was authorized for reversal.
The initiator of the transaction says Waiganjo’s phone number was entered to a payment schedule by mistake or may be there was a mistake on just one digit of the customer’s phone number.
The management of the bank has praised Mr Waiganjo for his honesty and kindness saying “people may be poor but rich in character,”.
Mr Waiganjo who hails from Shauri Yako village in Eldama Ravine town works with Eldama Ravine Sub-county Hospital on casual contract terms.
