Soipan Tuya is happy as she takes over the Ministry of Defense from Aden Duale.She was initially reappointed to the ministry of Environment but later President Ruto changed his mind and swapped her with Duale.
While accepting demotion, Duale wrote:
“I am Grateful to President William Samoei Ruto for reassigning me from the Defence Ministry to the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, and Forestry.
I look forward to serving in my new portfolio and ensuring focus is on sustainable environmental management, combating climate change, and promoting reforestation and conservation efforts.
Indeed, ‘And it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows, but you do not know.’ – Quran 2:216”
Sources say that the Defence Ministry rejected Duale,they didn’t want him to head the ministry.He had no option but to take up another role.
